James started his journey in the music industry as a recording artist, signed to Warner Atlantic UK and Interscope in the US. This led to performing at various music festivals across the world, such as Glastonbury UK, Lollapalooza US and Fuji Rock Festival Japan and recording a debut album at Sunset Sound in LA.

His ongoing curiosity for the business aspect of the entertainment industry, led him since 2008 to various Commercial & Marketing roles across media conglomerates and agencies, such as PHD Omnicom & Publicis Groupe where he worked across clients such as Samsung, Warner Bros Inc, HBO, BMW, Cadbury & Atlantic Records business, before moving to head up UK Promotions & Integrated Brand Partnerships for The Walt Disney Co, UK.

 

James launched Lyricom in 2020, to develop his own agency that could fuse, a full service marketing communications agency, brand partnerships, and commercial talent management. 

2020 saw Lyricom extend its infrastructure, and sign an exclusive distribution agreement with Believe UK, for its label services clients.

 

James oversees all day-to-day operations of the business, leading Comms, Marketing and Commercial Campaigns, as well as developing new opportunities with clients and partners.​
